Norwegian’s Giving Joy

Educators, much like travel, are a powerful source of inspiration and education – broadening perspectives by connecting people to each other and bringing awareness to different cultures and experiences worldwide.

For the fourth year, Norwegian Cruise Line launched its Giving Joy contest during Teacher Appreciation Week in May, which recognizes the unsung heroes who carry the significant responsibility of educating, inspiring, and shaping future generations.

Norwegian’s Giving Joy^® program, which ran from May 8 to June 9, 2023, highlights these spectacular individuals, who are so often underappreciated in this profession, by awarding top educators a well-deserved cruise vacation aboard NCL’s world class fleet, sailing to nearly 400 destinations.

This year, the top 20 teachers across the U.S. with the most votes won a seven-day cruise for two. In addition, the top three grand prize winners are invited to attend the exclusive four-day christening voyage this November for Norwegian Viva, the Company’s newest ship from its innovative Prima class, debuting August 2023.

Since 2019, the Giving Joy program has awarded 250 educators across the U.S. and Canada with vacations of a lifetime.
