From expanding minds with new perspectives to inspiring passions and curiosity through learning, there’s a common thread that connects education and travel. To highlight the intersection between the two, Norwegian’s Giving Joy^® contest honors the educators who are making a difference in their community and shaping the next generation.

In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, this year’s contest launched on May 5, 2025 encouraging the public to share inspiring stories about a deserving educator all month long. The top 20 teachers across the U.S. and Canada were selected by a panel of NCL leaders and partners for making a lasting impact on their students and community, their passion and dedication to the world of education, and their ability to overcome challenges. These incredible educators were awarded a free cruise for two. In addition, the top three grand prize winners are invited to attend the exclusive three-day christening voyage of the Company’s newest ship, Norwegian Luna, sailing from Miami in Spring 2026.
